My original idea was just to have the two manicules pointing and calling it “Counterpoint”, but then the other ideas crept up. For 4th species, I tried having a bow tying the two fingers together (to represent syncopation), but it didn’t look so good. For 5th species, perhaps the same as 3rd species, but with the smaller ones pointing in every direction, each doing their own thing.
Maybe for strict counterpoint, one of the manicules could be holding a hammer. π For cancrizan, I could do the same as 1st species, but have crabs' legs coming out of each manicule. Could stretch one out for augmentation…
For two-part invention, one could have a light bulb over its head…
