Beautiful! May I ask what the intended or advertised use was? And does the eraser holder also work as a lead container? – The background is great. What is it? A table?

So far I haven’t found any advertisements for them (I also have a similar set with thin leads, No. 6). I don’t know if they are similar to Landkarten-stifte, but they remind me of them. The plastic tube with erasers holds the extra leads—the ring in the middle separates it into two chambers. The pencils are rather heavy and solid.

The background is the same old cutting board I’ve been using. I like the color and the texture but it is very difficult to match the color between photos.

Thank you for the details. The fact that they are double-ended makes them even more special! – Re the colour matching: Do you use automatic white balance? This could be the reason for the colour differences because with every photo the white balance is set anew, and in most cases the new setting differs from the one before. I have experienced similar problems and switched to manual white balance; with this the setting is kept, resulting in (almost) identical colours.

Any idea where replacement leads can be purchased?

I have this same pencil from my father who was an architect. Do you have any other information: age, use, etc?
