Just yesterday I “listened” to the 4 1/2 minute piano piece with a breathless live audience waiting for the first note…alas, it never happened. Well done, Sean, for your take on this piece.
Thanks Gunther and Kevin. There have been a surprising number of page views for this post. While it’s something that probably won’t go viral, I’d settle for bacterial. 🙂
I was thinking “many happy Returns,” but I see that you made this post with an image file, not with the keyboard. I listened to a cricket somewhere in my office and the traffic outside while here.
WordPress doesn’t allow multiple blank returns, so I made a placeholder. I should mention that the image is 4.33 inches square 🙂
I’ll admit, it took me a few good seconds before I found out that it wasn’t the fault of the internet speed on my mobile phone that I didn’t see anything.
The next question then of course is: Is this (visual) art? 🙂
Well, bassists are a simple people, Kenneth: while we can fashion some small tools, we can really only hunt or gather. So, better to leave questions about art to those higher-up on the ladder of influence and power—like guitarists, philatelists, coopers, etc. 🙂
